Lockie Leonard by Tim Winton

You might think romance is boring but really this isn't just romance it's about a boy who is 12 years of age who is moving to the cost of Australia with his family after living in the city called perth. The book is made up of romance of a young teenager, humor of a family who likes to tease each other and the not very nice experiences of starting at a new school.
Lockie Leonard (main character) is a surfer who moves to the costs and is hit by all the problems of growing up. It isn't easy starting at a new school and starting high school at the same time but Lockie Leonard has to put up with it . lockie does like school too much so he spends most his time at school day dreaming. when he isn't day dreaming he is thinking about the girl who sits at the front of class. Lockie Leonard knows he has no chance with the girl who sit at the front of the class first of all he doesn't even know her name second of all she is like the most popular girl in school.
But if you want to know what happens between the girl at the front of class and Lockie then you better read the book.
i'd recommend this from the ages of 12 to 14 because people younger would find it disgusting and the people older would find it boring. i'd give the book out of 10 about 9
