So B. It by Sarah Weeks

Heidi It lives a unconventional lifestyle with her mentally disabled mother who claims to be called So B. It. Her neighbour Bernadette who acted like a mother to both Heidi and her mentally disabled mum home schooled Heidi since Bernadette suffered from agora phobia ever since her father died.
Thanks to Heidi's weekly job of babysitting and streaks of luck that always led her to the right direction, heidi and her so-called 'family' never had much trouble, until one day when Heidi looks at her mother vocabulary list, the word 'soof' often said by her mother started to haunt and disturb her. her disire to find out the true definition of the word was unstopable leading her through a cross country journey alone to new york in search for secrets of her past and her mothers past.
I recommened this book to everybody, it is a reasonably easy book to read and follow but it is also extremly touching. As i read this book i could feel what each character was feeling, this book was also a bit sad, during the book heidi forgets what else (other than her past) was important to her causing her to lose her beloved mother.
