Have you ever thought about creating a secret club at school? Writing "CLUB WORDS" on the classroom board in early mornings before the teacher walks in, doesn't that sound interesting and fun?
Laura Sibbie, sixth grade, president of Pig City. The story started at a garage sale when Laura saw a hat with "Pig City" written on it. Due to this idea, Laura started a secret club called Pig City with her best friends, Allison and Tiffany. The entrance of joining this club is to tell a embarrassing secret. No one is allowed to tell anyone about Pig City besides the members.
Writing words such as "Pig Rules" on the board everyday seems to be a fun job for Laura, until one day a boy name Gabriel found out the secret of Pig City. Gabriel has a secret crush on Laura, he knew about Pig City, and hoping Laura would invite him to join the club.
Gabriel tried to hint Laura to invite him by passing notes to her, but the notes were changed by a girl who hates Laura. The misunderstanding started. Gabriel decided to create a new club too, called Monkey Town...
This novel is very attractive, because it's very realistic and funny which made me wanted to keep reading this book. Also, it is about school life, boys and girls, which we understands and knew what they are talking about. This book involved not only humor, but also relationships, misunderstanding, and sadness. The ending chapter was very touching, and I really like it. I suggest this novel to everyone, you will be laughing and rolling on the floor when you read it.
Funny book and cute as well!
